How to Choose the Right Anal Training Toys
Anal training simply means getting used to different toy sizes gradually. Instead of jumping straight to something large, you start small and move up when it feels comfortable.
We often see that taking things slowly makes anal play feel far more relaxed. There’s no schedule to follow and no need to rush. You can stay with one size for as long as you like and only move up when you feel ready.
Some people enjoy using a training kit with several sizes included, while others like trying different anal trainer toys over time. Either way, the key idea stays the same — start small, take your time, and move forward when it feels right.
Anal Training Toys & Kits
Anal training kits are one of the easiest ways to explore anal training. These sets usually include several toys in gradually increasing sizes, giving you a simple path to follow.
Most sets use smooth butt plug shapes that are easy to insert and comfortable to wear. You can begin with the smallest toy and spend as much time with it as you like before trying the next size.
We find training kits feel easier to start with because everything is already planned out. Instead of wondering which size to try next, you can simply move up when the current one feels comfortable.
Anal Dilators for Progressive Training (Coming Soon)
Anal dilators are another style of toy sometimes used for gradual training. They usually have smooth, simple shapes and are often sold in sets with slowly increasing sizes.
Because the size changes are small, dilators can feel like a gentle way to explore progression over time.
Our progressive anal dilator collection is coming soon and will include toys designed specifically for step‑by‑step anal training.
Anal Stretchers & Expansion Toys
Once you feel comfortable with smaller training toys, you might feel curious about stretchers or expansion toys.
These toys create a wider stretch and can feel quite different from standard plugs. For some people, they feel like the next step after exploring smaller toys and getting comfortable with anal play. Some designs slowly open wider, while others expand naturally as you relax.
If you decide to explore them, we usually suggest taking things slowly and paying attention to what feels comfortable for you.
A flared base is essential for safe anal use, and water-based lubricant is recommended.
Advanced Anal Gaping Toys
Advanced gaping toys are usually explored later in the training journey, once you already feel comfortable with larger toy sizes.
These toys are designed for wider openings and more noticeable stretching. Because they are larger, they’re typically something people try after spending time with training kits, plugs, or stretchers.
If you decide to explore larger toys, taking your time always helps. Move gradually, listen to your body, and only increase size when it feels comfortable.
Use plenty of water-based lubricant, and clean toys thoroughly before and after use.
